The United Democratic Movement (UDM) herewith confirms that Councillor Mongameli Bobani has died today at 17:50 due to Covid-19.
We extend our condolences to his wife, children, family and friends, as well as the UDM in Nelson Mandela Bay.
We commend Councillor Bobani for the good work he did for the people in Nelson Mandela Bay and his tireless efforts to grow the UDM in the Eastern Cape. He was always available and ready to roll up his sleeves, and we will miss his energy and enthusiasm.
May his soul rest in peace.
Arrangements for his funeral will be made known in due course.
