The United Democratic Movement is disturbed by the intensity of violence that is taking place in Palestine because of the hostilities between Israel and Hamas.
For the past seven-years innocent people have been killed like ants as it happened in the past 24 hours. The innocent people are murdered by launched air-missiles. No one deserves to be killed in this tragic manner just because of political reasons.
The Party supports the call made by the United Nations “to stop the war”. It is high time that Israel and Palestine reach a negotiated settlement.
The UDM notes, that It is not whole population of Palestine who want war but a certain segment.
A special appeal is made to the United States of America to stop sponsoring Israel in this war as it perpetuates ugly situation between the two nations. The UN needs to be firm on the USA and to stop treating her with kids’ gloves.
The world is fighting a common enemy called Covid-19 virus and truly cannot afford to have man made disaster on humans.
Civilians in both nations, must be protected at all cost!
